Anti-Christian Hate Crimes Tripled in EU last year!

In a 2024 report released November 15, the Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians in Europe (OIDAC Europe) found — with gaps in reporting for many countries — a total of 2,444 anti-Christian hate crimes committed in 2023 in contrast to 749 incidents recorded in 2022.

GOP Senator stops CNN Anchor in her tracks to give audience the truth about Pete Hegseth Allegations: 'You told one part':
Hegseth was never charged, and yet a years-old police report dominated headlines.
Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) refused to let CNN tell only one side of the story.
Last week, California police released a report accusing Pete Hegseth, the nominee for defense secretary, of sexual assault in 2017. Despite the suspicious timing of the report's release and its salacious details, Hegseth was never charged with any crimes because, as the report seems to indicate, there was not sufficient evidence to prove the allegations.
'He wasn't charged. He wasn't even kind of charged in this. There was no crime committed.'
And yet, CNN anchor Dana Bash tried to use the report on Sunday to smear Hegseth.
Asking Mullin about the report, Bash — instead of framing the discussion around the lack of evidence and no criminal charges — centered the woman's allegations and claims against Hegseth.
Mullin immediately shut her down.
"Dana, if we're going to get into that, let's talk about the whole police report," he interjected.
"First of all, the police report, if you look at it, it's very clear that what Pete was saying, what his attorney was saying, was accurate," Mullin said. "There was no case here. He was falsely accused."
According to Mullin, the police report fortifies Hegseth's innocence because it says that multiple eyewitnesses identified the woman who accused Hegseth of assault as the "aggressor."
After Mullin told CNN's audience what the police report says, Bash tried defending herself. She said she "wasn't done" and was, eventually, going to explain why Hegseth was never charged with a crime.
But Mullin wasn't buying it.
"I'm just saying that you told one part of this, Dana — that isn't accurate," he said.
Surprisingly, Bash thanked Mullin for "giving that other side [of the story] for me." Still, she questioned how Mullin could believe Hegseth's story but not the accuser's.
"He wasn't charged. He wasn't even kind of charged in this. There was no crime committed," Mullin fired back. "The police dropped everything."
"What is unfortunate, in today's world, you can be accused of anything, and then especially if it's something like this, you're automatically assumed to be guilty," he added. "If you read the police report from cover to cover, which I have, and I know every reporter has, too, it is clear there was nothing there. There was clear (sic) that there was no crime committed."

After years of Declining Poverty:
Child poverty skyrocketing with every province witnessing increased rates: report
Child poverty is climbing at rates never seen before in Canada.
“The jump in poverty rates in 2021 was the first increase in 10 years, and the latest increase in 2022 was the largest on record, signaling a failure of the federal poverty reduction strategy to sustain progress made with the Canada Child Benefit and the temporary emergency pandemic benefits,” reads the report card.

Campaign 2000’s 2024 national report card highlighted that approximately 1.4 million children, or 1 in 5 kids, lived in poverty in 2022.
The report showed that in the last two years, Canada experienced record increases in rates of child and family poverty, nearly reaching a cumulative 5% increase or an additional 360,000 children who fell into poverty.
“The jump in poverty rates in 2021 was the first increase in 10 years, and the latest increase in 2022 was the largest on record, signalling a failure of the federal poverty reduction strategy to sustain progress made with the Canada Child Benefit and the temporary emergency pandemic benefits,” reads the report card.
The record-setting increase in child poverty rates between 2021 and 2022 saw 195,170 additional children enter poverty.
“The numbers in this report card are shocking, even to those of us who track this issue,” said Leila Sarangi, National Director of Campaign 2000 and lead author of the report card. Every province, territory and the City of Toronto have seen their largest annual increase in rates of child poverty within the last two years.”
The report showed that families are poorer than they were nine years ago, when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau first took office.
“Across all family types, families were living in deeper poverty than they were in 2015, the year the federal poverty reduction strategy measures progress from. Custom data shows that the Canada Child Benefit has lost its power to sustain poverty reduction and that income inequality among families with children is widening,” it said.
The Canada Child Benefit has been ineffective in reversing this trend with 2022 seeing the lowest reduction to date.
The Census Family Low Income After-Tax Measure defines poverty as below the median income of all tax filers. Families, in general, were $14,276 below the measure after tax in 2022, compared to $10,050 in 2015.
While child poverty increased in every single province and territory, the worst increase was in Nunavut, which saw a 6% rise. Ontario was the province that fared worst, with a 3.5% increase.
“It’s been thirty-five years since the federal government signed on to uphold all children’s rights and eradicate child poverty, but clearly, the federal poverty reduction strategy is failing. We are heading quickly in the wrong direction and failing our children, again,” said Sarangi.
The Conservative Party of Canada issued a press release highlighting the stark increase. The party showed that food costs have increased by 35% since 2015.
“No wonder that in the last two years, Canada saw 358,520 more children living in poverty than during the height of the pandemic in 2020,” said the party.
Recent data from Food Banks Canada showed that visits have increased 90% in the last five years. While 2022 saw 1.4 million children suffer from food insecurity, the number jumped to 1.8 million in 2023.
Food Banks Canada gave Canada a D- on its 2024 Poverty Report Card.
Nearly 60 recommendations were suggested to the federal government from the report card which Sarangi said should serve as an alarm bell and a call to action.

While speaking from the South Lawn of the White House, Vice President Joe Biden expressed his gratitude to his family and colleagues for being there for him through both the good and the terrible times. Meanwhile, First Lady Jill Biden paid tribute to her “husband and hero,” expressing her gratitude for his forty years of service in public law.
According to the Daily Mail, President Biden could be seen wiping tears from his face from time to time while she was speaking. “What I’ve watched you do for more than 40 years is extraordinary… Joe what you’ve done the last four years is breathtaking,” Jill said. She toasted “My husband and hero, Joe Biden” as the president pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and dabbed his eyes.
After that, Biden went on stage to make an odd joke.

Thank you to so many dear friends. We began this journey to redeem the soul of the nation and define the light in the darkness. And I never could have gotten to where the White House has become without you and we never could have gotten as much done as we did without you. And that’s not hyperbole. I mean it from the bottom of my heart.”
The majority of President Biden’s speech was devoted to putting the Democrats who ousted him out of office behind him. The 81-year-old asserted that he and his group of staunchly devoted Biden administrative staff “left the country better than we found it,” calling his stint in the White House “the honor of my life.”
“One thing I’ve always believed about public service and especially the presidency, is the importance of asking ourselves, have we left the country in better shape than we found it? I can say with all my heart, the answer to that question is a resounding yes because of you,” he continued. “I believe we can be proud we’re leaving America in a better place today than when we came into office four years ago.”
Despite being left out, President-elect Donald Trump loomed large over the ceremony as Biden brought up the epidemic and January 6th, two symbolic occasions that show how Democrats held Trump accountable for the events of his first term. In addition to pulling the economy out of a “tailspin” and handling the fallout from a “violent insurrection on January 6,” Biden claimed to have fought the “worst pandemic we’d seen in over 100 years.
“With noticeable emotion in his voice, Biden concluded: “We’ve come a long way since then… But I fully believe America is better positioned to lead the world today than any point in my 50 years of public service.”

Donald Trump threatens 25% tariff on products from Canada, Mexico:
Says they're coming on Day 1, in announcement on social media
Donald Trump has levelled his most severe threat against Canada in years, warning that on his first day on office he might impose punishing economic sanctions across North America.
The U.S. president-elect threatened Monday evening to slap a 25 per cent tariff on all products entering the country from Canada and Mexico on Jan. 20, 2025, his inauguration day.
He delivered the warning via his social media platform Truth Social, in a post that began with a complaint about migration and drugs spilling across both the northern and southern border into the U.S.
Then he foreshadowed a damaging import fee that would drive up costs for Canadian and Mexican exporters, making their products less attractive while also potentially raising costs for American consumers.
"On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders," Trump posted.
"This Tariff will remain in effect until such time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens stop this Invasion of our Country!
"Both Mexico and Canada have the absolute right and power to easily solve this long simmering problem. We hereby demand that they use this power, and until such time that they do, it is time for them to pay a very big price!"
Canadian dollar plunges
The news sent the Canadian dollar plunging in overnight trading, to a low unseen in years. This was, coincidentally, as Canadian cabinet ministers were meeting to discuss U.S. relations, said a federal source.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau re-established a cabinet committee on Canada-U.S. relations this month, in anticipation of a repeat of the cross-border uncertainties during the last time Trump was president.
It's unclear whether Trump intends to proceed with the idea as described. One feature of his first term was occasionally issuing tariff threats as part of a negotiation.
Monday's news rekindled memories from 2017 and 2018.
Trump was on the verge of officially declaring his intention to cancel the original North American Free Trade Agreement in 2017, just before negotiations began on the updated deal.
As those talks hit snags the following year, he threatened to impose punishing tariffs on Canadian automobile exports, then lifted that threat a few days later, when Canada and the U.S. agreed to an updated trade pact.
But Trump sometimes follows through with threats. He did actually impose tariffs on Canada in his first term, on steel and aluminum, before the countries could negotiate an exemption.
Negotiation tactic or not?
What's unclear is how this tariff threat squares with one of Trump's major promises of the campaign: to lower the cost of living in general for Americans, and the cost of gas in particular.
Oil is Canada's No. 1 export to the United States. A 25 per cent levy on oil would present a challenge to that seminal election promise.
A former Canadian cabinet minister reacted to the news by recalling what it was like dealing with Trump in his first term.
"And so it starts," Catherine McKenna, the former environment minister, posted on the BlueSky social media site. "The amount of time and energy our government had to spent on Trump last time was bonkers."
Ontario Premier Doug Ford said on social media platform X that a 25 per cent tariff would be "devastating to workers and jobs in both Canada and the U.S.
"The federal government needs to take the situation at our border seriously," he said, calling for a "Team Canada" approach, involving the premiers.
Ford had already been asking for Trudeau to meet with the premiers, saying in a letter that he and his fellow premiers want to meet to discuss how Ottawa plans to approach its relationship with Washington.
But Flavio Volpe, president of the Automotive Parts Manufacturing Association, urged patience, saying the auto industry's interests in Canada overlap with U.S. interests.
"We've gamed out the possibilities that he lumps Canada and Mexico issues together, we've been there before," Volpe said.
"We are prepared and connected. Dare I say, many Canadians and many members of the current government are on friendly terms with their former Trump counterparts."
Economic forecasters have been struggling for months to assess the potential impact of Trump's tariffs on Canada.
Various projections have pegged the potential damage to Canada at anywhere from less than a half-point of GDP to a devastating five per cent.
That's because the specifics of his plan have been unclear: he's talked about a 10 per cent global tariff, but has sometimes changed the numbers around. It's also unclear what he might exempt, such as energy products.
But this is the first time in years he's threatened Canada, specifically, and certainly the first time he's threatened a tariff this large on every product.

NBC reports average cost of Thanksgiving dinner is 'historically affordable,' and the backlash is staggering:
Many Americans reported sum was outrageously low compared to what they are spending.
The American Farm Bureau Federation dropped its calculation of the average cost per person for a Thanksgiving dinner, and many on social media responded with anger and ridicule.
'If you can feed 10 people a Thanksgiving dinner for $58 you’re a sorcerer.'
NBC included the calculation in its article that called the $58.08 price tag for 10 people a "historically affordable" sum.
“If your dollar had the same overall purchasing power as a consumer in 1984 ... this would be the least expensive Thanksgiving meal in the 39-year history of the AFBF Thanksgiving survey, other than the outlier of 2020,” the authors at the Farm Bureau wrote.
The report said that food prices had risen 19% since 2019, but that median household wages had increased by about 25% in the same period.
Many on social media responded that those statistics did not fit their personal experience this year as they shopped for the holiday dinner.
"It costs $60 for a family of 4 to eat at McDonalds. But NBC News wants you to believe that Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people is $58 - the most affordable in 40 years," said author John LeFevre.
"After reading and rereading this story I am now fully aware of what I make for Thanksgiving is not average. Nor is it cheaper than 2021," responded journalist Salena Zito.
"Total bulls***. You can’t feed 10 people for $58.08 anywhere in the country." replied Georgia GOP committeewoman Amy Kremer.
"No one who buys groceries believes this," said commentator Dana Loesch.
"This is bulls***, of course. Carry on," responded Republican attorney Harmeet Dhillon.
"The Media still can’t figure out why Americans can’t trust the media. Does nobody at NBC News buy their own groceries? Do y’all have servants who go buy your groceries and you never see the bill?" read another response.

“I’m not saying it’s all bad. It wasn’t what I wanted. I needed to do something else.”
Operation Self-Reliance is both a plan of action and a work in progress, Mr. Gleason said with pride. It is a trumpet call for people yearning to break free of the bonds of city life.
Years ago, Mr. Gleason, now 74, envisioned such a place for like-minded people, built on the time-honored idea of “sustainable self-sufficiency” like that of the early settlers.

Majority of Canadian MPs vote for proposal recommending hard drug decriminalization
Canadian MPs have voted 210 to 117 in favor of a proposal to decriminalize simple possession of heroin, cocaine and all other illegal drugs across Canada despite the disastrous effects of lax drug policies already observed.
OTTAWA, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) — Canada may be one step closer to decriminalizing hard drugs as the majority of MPs voted in favor of a proposal recommending the move.
According to information published November 25 by Blacklock’s Reporter, MPs voted 210 to 117 in favor of a proposal recommending the decriminalizing of the simple possession of heroin, cocaine and all other illegal drugs across Canada. While the proposal is non-binding, it could point to how MPs would vote on a future bill seeking to augment the law.
“Why has it come to this?” Conservative MP Jacques Gourde, who opposes such a move, questioned. “We have reached the end of the road and nothing better lies ahead if we continue down this path.”
The recommendation, which received a House majority with only Conservative MPs voting against it, suggested “that the Government of Canada decriminalize simple possess of all illicit drugs.”
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s cabinet was noncommittal in their response to the suggestion, saying, “The government recognizes there are increasing calls from a wide range of stakeholders to decriminalize the simple possession of drugs as another tool to reduce stigma that can lead many to hide their drug use and avoid seeking supports including treatment.”
“The government is exploring policy approaches and a broader framework that would ease the impact of criminal prohibitions in certain circumstances,” the Cabinet continued.
The Trudeau government’s consideration of nationwide decriminalization comes despite drug-related deaths skyrocketing in the province of British Columbia after decriminalization was implemented there by the Trudeau government in 2023. In fact, the policy was considered so damaging by the left-wing controlled province that it had to ask to have certain aspects of the policy, such as the public use of drugs, rescinded earlier this year.
Other soft-on-drug policies have already been implemented by the Trudeau government, including the much-maligned “safer supply” program.
“Safe supply” is the term used to refer to government-prescribed drugs given to addicts under the assumption that a more controlled batch of narcotics reduces the risk of overdose. Critics of the policy argue that giving addicts drugs only enables their behavior, puts the public at risk, disincentivizes recovery from addiction and has not reduced – and sometimes even increased – overdose deaths when implemented.
The effects of decriminalizing hard drugs have been the source of contention throughout the country, as evidenced in Aaron Gunn’s documentary, Canada is Dying, and in U.K. Telegraph journalist Steven Edginton’s mini-documentary, Canada’s Woke Nightmare: A Warning to the West.
Gunn, who has since become a Conservative Party candidate, previously noted that his film shows clearly the “general societal chaos and explosion of drug use in every major Canadian city” since lax policies were implemented.
“Overdose deaths are up 1,000 percent in the last 10 years,” he said in his film, adding that “every day in Vancouver four people are randomly attacked.”

EMO, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) —The Ontario Human Rights Tribunal has fined Emo Township for refusing to fly the “Pride Flag” in June 2020.
In a November 20 decision, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal awarded Borderland Pride, a local LGBT activist group, $15,000 from Emo Township and Emo mayor Harold McQuaker after the small Ontario town refused to bend to the demands of LGBT activists and celebrate June as “pride” month.
“I find that $15,000 is an appropriate level of compensation for Borderland Pride’s injury to dignity, feelings and self-respect,” Ontario adjudicator Karen Dawson wrote in her decision.
The $15,000 is divided into $10,000 paid by Emo Township and $5,000 paid by McQuaker himself to Borderland Pride.
Additionally, the tribunal ordered McQuaker and the Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality to complete a “Human Rights 101” training course offered by the Ontario Human Rights Commission within 30 days.
“There’s no flags being flown for the straight people,” McQuake had told the Emo council in 2020.
At the 2020 meeting, the town council had voted 3-2 against proclaiming June as “Pride” month and flying LGBT flags from municipal buildings.
Shortly after the motion was voted down, the Borderland Pride filed a human rights complaint, demanding the town apologize for their decision, proclaim June as “Pride” month, and fly the LGBT flag for one week.
In April 2024, Borderland Pride offered to drop the case if the town agreed to the previous demands.
“This is a good deal. You should take it,” Borderland Pride’s letter to Emo stated. “The alternative is to continue to waste taxpayer money fighting a losing battle in defence of bigotry and hate.”
However, the township chose to reject the proposal, instead going ahead with the hearing.
