The federal government announced that they are ordering financial institutions to cease providing financial services to anyone supporting the blockades and that the government now has the power to target crowdfunding platforms and cryptocurencies to curtail Freedom Convoy funding.

Ontario to end COVID proof of vaccination March 1, mask mandate to remain in place
Premier Doug Ford says the province is ending its COVID-19 vaccine passport system starting on March 1. However, the mask mandate will remain in place.
“Ontario will also lift proof of vaccination requirements for all settings at this time. Businesses and other settings may choose to continue to require proof of vaccination,” the government said.
A firm date for lifting the use of masks or face coverings was not set.
“Masking requirements will remain in place at this time, with a specific timeline to lift this measure to be communicated at a later date,” the government said.
Capacity limits in all indoor public settings will also be eliminated.
Ford made the announcement on Monday morning alongside health minister Christine Elliott and Ontario’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Kieran Moore.

In addition, the next phase of Ontario’s three-phased approach to reopening the economy has been accelerated to Thursday, Feb. 17 — up from the previous date of Feb. 21.
These measures will take effect on Feb. 17 at 12:01 a.m.:
· Increasing social gathering limits to 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors
· Increasing organized public event limits to 50 people indoors, with no limit outdoors
· Removing capacity limits in the following indoor public settings where proof of vaccination is required, including: - Restaurants, bars and other food or drink establishments without dance facilities; - Non-spectator areas of sports and recreational fitness facilities, including gyms; - Cinemas; - Meeting and event spaces, including conference centres or convention centres; - Casinos, bingo halls and other gaming establishments; - Indoor areas of settings that choose to opt-in to proof of vaccination requirements.
· Allowing 50 per cent of the usual seating capacity at sports arenas
· Allowing 50 per cent of the usual seating capacity for concert venues and theatres
· Increasing indoor capacity limits to 25 per cent in the remaining higher-risk settings where proof of vaccination is required, including nightclubs, restaurants where there is dancing, as well as bathhouses and sex clubs
· Increasing capacity limits for indoor weddings, funerals or religious services, rites, or ceremonies to the number of people who can maintain 2 m physical distance
· Capacity limits are removed if the location opts-in to use proof of vaccination or if the service, rite, or ceremony is occurring outdoors
As well, capacity limits in indoor public settings such as grocery stores, pharmacies, retail and shopping malls will be at the number of people who can maintain two metres of physical distancing.
Booster dose eligibility is also being expanded to youth aged 12 to 17 starting on Friday, Feb. 18 at 8 a.m.
“Given how well Ontario has done in the Omicron wave we are able to fast track our reopening plan,” Ford said. “This is great news and a sign of just how far we’ve come together in our fight against the virus. While we aren’t out of the woods just yet we are moving in the right direction.

RCMP sabotaged excavator equipment near Coutts border blockade:
Police confirmed that they were behind the damage caused to vehicles on private land in Coutts, Alberta.
Three excavator vehicles were parked on private land with permission from the owner.
RCMP had allegedly asked the owners to move the vehicles so they wouldn't be visible from the highway. The owners obliged, and sometime after moving the vehicles found the damage.
Damage reportedly included the cutting of electrical and control cables. And an expandable foam was sprayed inside the vehicle causing additional damage.
RCMP media representatives have confirmed that they were behind the damage.

Opposition parties react to Trudeau's call for Emergencies Act
Opposition leaders say the reason why Canada has gotten to this stage was because the Prime Minister failed to manage the protester crisis
OTTAWA – Federal opposition parties say Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s decision to invoke the Emergencies Act is a “proof of failure” in dealing with convoy blockades across the country.
Trudeau’s proposal was also quickly dismissed by the premiers of Quebec, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba. It received support from Ontario, where the blockades paralyzed a major U.S.-Canada bridge in Windsor and part of the downtown core around Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
As a leader of a minority government, Trudeau needs the support of one of the opposition parties to have the Act passed by Parliament within seven days.
Monday morning, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said he was ready to support Trudeau when he invoked the Emergencies Act, but that the fact the Prime Minister needed to resort to it was an indictment of his “inaction” through the crisis rocking parts of Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and B.C.
“The fact that the Prime Minister is resorting to this measure is proof of a failure of leadership. The reason why we got to this point is because the Prime Minister let the siege of Ottawa go on for weeks and weeks without actually doing anything about it,” Singh told reporters.
“He allowed the convoy to shutdown borders without responding appropriately and in doing so, has allowed the convoy to dig in and get entrenched.”
Interim Conservative Party of Canada leader Candice Bergen said she was “very concerned” by Trudeau’s decision, calling it “ham-fisted.”
“Provinces are not in agreement with what the Prime Minister is proposing,” Bergen said. “We have seen the Prime Minister continually wedge divide and stigmatize Canadians who he doesn’t agree with. And by doing so, he creates so many barriers in terms of trying to solve this problem.” [Christopher Nardi]
Autopsy reveals disturbing information regarding Bob Saget’s death:
Many Americans were saddened last month to learn that comedy legend and television star Bob Saget was found dead in an Orlando hotel room.
Although authorities initially said they found nothing suspicious, new revelations have led to new questions regarding his death, including the type of injury he apparently sustained in the hotel room.
Joshua Stephany, the chief medical examiner in both Orange and Osceola Counties, stated that “there is no evidence of drug use or foul play” in connection with Saget’s death.
“Baseball bat to the head”
Yet, The New York Times reported this week that findings from Saget’s autopsy reveal multiple skull fractures which caused bleeding in both sides of his brain.
“But experts said that with such an extensive injury, it was unlikely that Mr. Saget would have intentionally ignored it,” Times writer Benjamin Mueller stated. “The injury would likely have left him confused, if not unconscious.”
“Far from a head bump that might have been shrugged off, the autopsy described an unmistakably serious set of injuries that would at the very least have probably left someone confused, brain experts said,” he continued.
Dr. Gavin Britz, a neurosurgeon at Houston Methodist, said the comedian had sustained “significant trauma.”
“This is something I find with someone with a baseball bat to the head, or who has fallen from 20 or 30 feet,” the doctor continued.
Foul play, after all?
The Daily Wire noted that CNN chief medical correspondent and neurosurgeon Dr. Sanjay Gupta also expressed surprise over the autopsy’s findings.
“I think what it reveals more than anything else is that this was not a sort of simple bump on the head,” he remarked.
What’s more, Gupta was puzzled by the report’s conclusion that Saget had likely hit his head before getting into bed without seeking medical attention.
He added: “You would think that maybe this was someone who had fallen down the stairs and had several impacts to the head or been unrestrained in a car accident. I mean, it was that degree of force.” [Conservative Institute]

Durham Probe Will Bring 'More' Indictments Against Clinton Campaign:
Former Republican California Rep. Devin Nunes told Newsmax that Special Counsel John Durham's findings regarding Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign — her camp is said to have paid an internet company to "infiltrate" servers at Trump Tower and the White House — may very well yield "many, many, more" indictments.
Appearing on "Eric Bolling: The Balance," Nunes, who now heads Trump Media & Technology Group, says a key question remains to be answered: “What did she know, and when did she know it?"
"Durham is going to have to run a perfect investigation here, Nunes continued. "He's got to wrap up all the people that were involved. Remember, we made 14 criminal referrals [to the Department of Justice]; that doesn't mean just 14 people.
"So, he [Durham] has to go through and look at all of that. He's already indicted one of the Clinton's lawyers — others seem to be in trouble; high-level DNC lawyers seemed to be in trouble. So, it'll all be dependent at the end of the day, what did she know, and when did she know it? That's really what it comes down to.
"And it also is going to depend on what indictments Durham continues to bring. My assessment is it looks like there's going to be many, many more, but we just don't know yet."
According to the New York Post, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, speaking on Durham's investigation, found credibility in the probe's assertion of spying.
"Yep, there was spying going on," Jordan said, "and it was worse than we thought because they were spying on the sitting president of the United States. And it goes right to the Clinton campaign. So, God bless John Durham."
