City Councils and Admins are Losing Power:

Strong mayor powers to be expanded to more Ontario cities, Ford says

This announcement by Premier Ford sounds like municipalities are gaining new powers, but the opposite is true! It's an incursion by the Province to over-rule decisions made by City Councils. "veto powers over bylaws that conflict with provincial priorities" to be precise. Less local powers will be replaced by more international powers as the technocrats convert existing infrastructures into "smart cities". Yeah, smart cities for dumbed-down and controlled populations.

Brian Stelter — who has been long criticized for bias against conservatives, Fox News, and former President Donald Trump — told National Public Radio he's leaving CNN, as the cable network is canceling "Reliable Sources," his Sunday show focused on the media.

What are the details?

Stelter, CNN's chief media correspondent, told NPR in a statement that he's grateful for the show and his team's examination of "the media, truth and the stories that shape our world."

"It was a rare privilege to lead a weekly show focused on the press at a time when it has never been more consequential," he said to the outlet, adding that more would be said on the final episode of "Reliable Sources" this Sunday.

CNN chief Chris Licht told Stelter of the decision Wednesday, NPR said, adding that Licht has been making cuts at the network as part of Warner Bros. Discovery's takeover of the old-Time Warner company.

The outlet said Stelter often touted the ratings of "Reliable Sources" on Twitter.

NPR added that investor John Malone — a major financial stakeholder in the new Warner Discovery conglomerate — was among those who has criticized CNN for having become more politicized in the Trump years.

In fact, the outlet said that Stelter in February referred to Malone more than a dozen times amid coverage of the Discovery deal and expressed concern about Malone's influence on CNN.

NPR said Stelter got his start blogging about cable news as a student and later become a media reporter for the New York Times.

How bad has it been?

It's no secret that CNN has been struggling for a while now. Besides the scandalous departures of former head Jeff Zucker and anchor Chris Cuomo and the embarrassingly fast demise of CNN+, the cable network hasn't exactly been a ratings juggernaut.

Things were bad for Stelter, too, in that department. While it was pointed out in May 2021 that "Reliable Sources" had suffered its lowest ratings of the year, the show actually had better ratings when Stelter wasn't hosting it.

Critics have often labeled Stelter a "hall monitor" for the media, and attacks against him — particularly for biased reporting — seemed to grow louder and more frequent over time.

But it didn't seem to faze him.

In February Stelter ran some P.R. for CNN at the end of a "Reliable Sources" show, defending it from critics who said the cable network was "lacking journalism" and dealt in "opinions all the time." Instead, Stelter opined of critics that "they're not watching CNN." [CNN]

A 12-year-old girl who does not want to take the COVID-19 vaccine cannot be mandated to do so, an Ontario judge has ruled in a family court dispute.

“The science relating to COVID-19 is developing,” wrote Justice Christopher Corkery of the Ontario Superior Court. “The ‘facts’ are changing.”

The dispute arose after the girl’s unidentified father filed a motion with the court, seeking to compel his ex-wife to have the girl vaccinated before the start of the school year, according to Blacklock’s Reporter.

“It’s keeping everyone in our community safe,” the father told the Court. “It’s keeping you safe.”

The girl, described as an A-student, wrote in an email that was submitted to the court, saying that “I do not want my COVID-19 vaccine.”

She noted that data have suggested “people who have received both shots and the booster are still getting COVID” and that “she heard from friends that their doctors are advising that children not get vaccinated.”

“This is my final decision,” the girl wrote. “I do not want the vaccine. I hope my wishes will be respected.”

In Ontario, COVID-19 vaccines were first made eligible for youth aged 12 and above in May 2021. The provincial government said at the time that expanding the eligibility to children in this age group came “at the request of some public health units to remove barriers for families requesting vaccines.”

Statistically, youth and children have rarely become seriously ill from COVID-19, and most who have ended up with severe symptoms have had other underlying health conditions.

The Ontario court was told that the girl’s mother is “not against the COVID-19 vaccine but is not prepared to force her daughter to be vaccinated against her will.”

Justice Corkery ruled he could not mandate vaccination, saying that “I am satisfied she is able to reasonably form her own opinions.”

“What are the health implications if children receive the current vaccine but skip some or all of the boosters?” he said. “What future COVID variant will boosters guard against?”

“These are all valid questions requiring answers which are currently unavailable,” he added. “It is improper for the Court to pre-determine future medical treatments at unknown times, in unknown circumstances.”

The Justice also noted that, with informed consent, many factors should be considered in weighing the risks and benefits of receiving a vaccine.

“Does safe mean there are no side effects?” Corkery wrote. “Is the vaccine effective in protecting her from contracting COVID-19, from spreading it, from dying from it, from severity of symptoms?”

“Requiring her to be vaccinated against her will would not respect her physical, emotional and psychological safety, security and well-being but would in fact put her at risk of serious emotional and psychological harm.”

Trudeau is pushing forth the Great Reset at any cost. Canada will impose a federal “Digital Identity Program” to help the World Economic Forum develop a global ID system. Since the COVID passports failed, they are outright demanding that everyone carry proof of their digital identity.

Canada’s Digital Ambition 2022 report revealed the details of its plan:

We saw the power that digital IDs provided to governments. China was able to freeze bank accounts and prevent the freedom of movement by simply changing a QR code. As we saw in numerous countries with the COVID passport, people were unable to access public buildings and facilities. They were unable to leave their countries or provinces. Governments can effectively banish people from participating in society with digital IDs. This is simply one step away from actually microchipping the people as if we were owned by the government.

The Canadian government will be able to track every citizen’s movement. They will surely implement digital IDs into every facet of government, so the people will be required to carry their digital ID as if it were Nazi Germany. Freedom and privacy have been lost to tyranny.

Earle made one little mistake; Trump was banned from Twitter because of his enormous power to get information to the American people. Trump’s posts were suggesting that ‘turnabout is fair play’ happened on Truth Social and by email from his ‘Office of 45″ press releases.

In a way, Trump has proved- just right there- that Twitter is not as omnipotent as they were believed to be in prior elections.
