Lawyer shares Evidence Ignored in Detective Grus’ Trial over COVID vax deaths:

Helen Grus was a fearless officer who worked as an investigator in the sexual assault and child abuse unit within the Ottawa Police Service.

Part of her role in the unit bound her by law to investigate every death of a child under the age of 5.

That is until she began investigating whether the rollout of the COVID shots was linked to several suspicious deaths in the region.

 

Detective Grus was concerned that increases in infant deaths in Ottawa mirrored Pfizer's adverse event reports, but her brief probe into the police records management system was shot down by her superiors, and she was put on trial instead.

After a three-year disciplinary hearing, Grus was found guilty of discreditable conduct for accessing the police records management system with a "personal interest."

 

During the hearing, Grus was represented by lawyer Bath-Sheba van den Berg, who is now speaking out about the case and the key evidence ignored by the tribunal's hearing officer Chris Renwick.



When examining the evidence, van den Berg says at least five, if not six, of these deaths had circumstances similar to those detailed in the adverse events report, which a Texas court ordered to be released despite Pfizer's attempts to keep it sealed for 75 years.

 

Pointing to a case from December 2021, "the one baby girl that died in December, just a few weeks after a policy came out from the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital to treat children with myocarditis because they were aware that the COVID-19 vaccinations caused myocarditis in children," explains van den Berg. "And then, less than a month later, we have a baby girl die with an enlarged heart in the mother's arms."

 

Was this really a case of an officer overstepping her authority, or was this trial simply a politically motivated witch hunt to protect the "safe and effective" narrative?

Despite all the bad news, life for most has been improving

Hi, I’m Marcus Gee and I’m a columnist and feature writer at The Globe and Mail. It’s not often that I look back on what I have written in the past.

 

Like most of us in the news business, I tend to focus on the here and now. But a few months ago, I started thinking about something I wrote for The Globe more than 30 years ago.

I was working as an editorial writer at the time, specializing in foreign affairs. A copy of The Atlantic crossed my desk. In it was an article by Robert Kaplan, a roaming correspondent for the magazine. It was titled: The Coming Anarchy: How scarcity, crime, overpopulation, tribalism and disease are rapidly destroying the social fabric of the planet.

The piece was every bit as bleak as the title. Travelling through West Africa, Kaplan found trouble everywhere he went – a foreshadowing, he wrote, of what the world at large was facing.

 

As he put it, “Disease, overpopulation, unprovoked crime, scarcity of resources, refugee migrations, the increasing erosion of nation-states and international borders, and the empowerment of private armies, security firms, and international drug cartels are now most tellingly demonstrated through a West African prism.”

 

The article, which he later turned into a book, made a big splash. Everyone in the foreign-affairs field was talking about it. But I wondered: Was the state of the world really so bad?

 

I decided to do a little research of my own and found that, in fact, many of the basic indicators of human well-being were showing dramatic improvement.

 

The much-feared population explosion was overblown; fertility rates were dropping everywhere. Thanks to more vaccination, better sanitation and other basic health measures, the toll of disease in poor countries was falling. Literacy, life expectancy and education levels were rising. Democracy was spreading, and the number of conflicts was down.


That was in 1994, just after the end of the Cold War. Anxiety about the future in this new era was rampant.

It is rampant again today – and for good reason. Climate change, trade wars, the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, the decline of American democracy – all of these have made this a time of global crisis.

But again, I wondered: Were we missing something? Had the progress I wrote about way back then continued?

I plunged into the data again. I found that the answer was yes.

 

By almost every measure, life for the bulk of humanity has continued to improve.

 



We live longer, eat better, make more money. Much of what we used to call the Third World has risen to at least middle-income status, a level at which most people can afford all the basics of life. One of the most encouraging things I found was that the gender gap in schooling has disappeared. Girls in most places get as much, if not more, education than boys.



In noting all of this, I know I run the risk of being called a Pollyanna – someone who thinks everything is for the best in the best of all possible worlds. But my aim here was not to paper over our problems.


As I point out, we are going backward on some of the world’s major indicators, like democracy and conflict. I am as alarmed as anyone at the chaos that a crazed American president is unleashing on the world, not to mention the threat from autocracies such as Russia, China and Iran.



My aim was to remind everyone that, behind the scary headlines, some good things are happening. We have made huge strides in the recent past and can do so again in the future

So don’t get me wrong, this is not the case for optimism – the belief that everything is certain to get better. The way things are looking, it could well get worse.

It is the case for what the Swedish physician Hans Rosling called “factfulness.”

Before we assume that the world is headed for chaos and ruin – the “coming anarchy” – we should take a look at what the facts say about the state of our world. It is better than most of us think.

Yale Study Quietly Confirms COVID Vaccine Nightmare:

This is no longer a “conspiracy theory.” And the damage is only beginning.

Last year, I learned of a Yale study which had discovered the COVID vaccine persisted in the body and caused long term immunological impairments—something I believe relates to the egregious production process that characterized the COVID-19 vaccines.

 

Since I did not want to interfere with the publication process, I held off from disclosing anything within the study which had not already been leaked by someone else. Today the study was pre-published, so I can now discuss what they found (in a heavily revised version of the previous article). The first half of this article provides the context for that study, while the second half discusses it (e.g., that the vaccine spike protein can persist in the body for at least 709 days and cause at least two years of chronic immunological suppression and autoimmunity that directly correlate to the presence of chronic illnesses).

 

Note: as this study was conducted by a team of immunologists, they primarily focused on immunologic changes (and as a result many of the other chronic consequences of vaccination were not discussed). Additionally, it should be noted that they originally strongly endorsed the vaccination (both to prevent COVID and to treat long COVID—which is often disastrous) and came from a very pro-vaccine institution. As such, the fact they were willing to change their stance on this should be acknowledged (and indicates a lot of work went into verifying the accuracy of their data).

 

Upsides and Downsides

A lot of things in life are trade-offs, and as I’ve gotten older, more and more I’ve come to appreciate how many things in our society boil down to the fact that the options for addressing them (at least within the existing paradigm) all have significant downsides, so in many cases no solution exists which is satisfactory to all parties involved.


As such, this dilemma is typically managed by some combination of the following:•Having a biased focus which emphasizes the benefits of an approach a side supports and downplays its downsides (or conversely disproportionately focuses on the downsides of an opposing position).


To this point, I’ve had countless issues I’ve debated both sides of and been able to effectively persuade audiences of each one—which highlights how subjective many of the entrenched beliefs we hold actually are (and, in turn, is why I put so much work here into fairly presenting both sides of each controversial topic I cover).

• Sweeping the downsides under the rug and gaslighting the populace into believing they don’t exist.

• Blitzing the public into supporting a questionable policy before they have time to recognize its downsides, and if that fails, overtly forcing them to go along with it.

 

Note: 

There are many different I believe one of the reasons why governments frequently do horrible things to their people is because they are put in the position of having to “solve” a problem (but with no truly satisfactory way to do it), so they become habituated to using the three previous strategies to push their chosen policies along and simultaneously develop a collective mentality that those questionable approaches are necessary for the “greater good.”manifestations of this dilemma, many of which I believe are essentially reflective of a foundational concept in medicine—sensitivity and specificity.

 

An ideal diagnostic test would catch every instance of a disease (100% sensitivity) and simultaneously never have a false positive (100% specificity). Unfortunately, in almost all cases, this is impossible to do, and instead a trade-off exists where you can either prioritize sensitivity (which leads to a significant number of false positives) or prioritize specificity (which leads to a significant number of false negatives). During COVID for example, a decision was made to prioritize sensitivity with the PCR tests (by having a high replication cycle thresholds) so no cases of COVID would be missed, but this resulted in such poor specificity that the PCR tests effectively became worthless (except for drumming up fear) since they produced so many false positives.

 

As such, when tests are designed, attempts are made to ensure there is a good balance between sensitivity and specificity. In some cases this is successful (e.g., there are many lab results we will take at face value), but in many other cases, given the technology involved, it’s not really possible to do so (or it is, but lobbying led to over-diagnosis so a medical product could be sold).

 

Similarly:

• Many policies in the justice system aims to enact fall into this same situation. For example, an ideal death penalty is robust enough to deter murder (and keep violent criminals away from the public), but simultaneously lenient enough that it doesn’t accidentally execute innocent individuals. Since there is no way to have both perfect sensitivity and specificity on this, different states take radically different approaches to how they enforce the death penalty (lying all along the spectrum between sensitivity and specificity). Likewise, our judicial system was founded under the principle “innocent until proven guilty” whereas many other countries have judicial systems that are the exact opposite.

 

• In medicine, one of the greatest challenges is finding the appropriate dose, as people differ, so what might be a safe and therapeutic dose for one person could be toxic for another. As such, standardized doses are typically chosen by finding the best overall balance between efficacy (a sufficient dose) and safety (avoiding a toxic dose), but for many drugs, the standardized dose leads to many more sensitive patients becoming severely injured by the drugs (which is then commonly “addressed” by gaslighting those injured patients).

• Every medical intervention has its risks and benefits, and ideally, the job of a physician should be to accurately weigh those to determine the best treatment for a patient (while simultaneously conveying what they are to the patient). Unfortunately, in many cases, they don’t (which is a large part of why patients are so dissatisfied with the medical system).

Overall, there are three key takeaways from this paradigm I wish to focus on in this article:

1. It is often incredibly difficult to find an acceptable balance between sensitivity and specificity, and many of the conventions our society now follows were the result of years of debate and protest from both sides to find a palatable middle ground between the two.

2. In almost any sphere I frequently find rushed attempts to find an acceptable balance between two conflicting positions to be immensely flawed and prone to creating significant issues in the future.

3. Many of the issues with the vaccine program are encapsulated by this framework.

So, here is a MAJOR CONCERN: The remarkable situation where we mandated a vaccine for an extinct virus (which, in turn, caused those vaccinated to become more likely to catch COVID-19 as their immune systems were continually primed to respond to a different virus from that they were exposed to)—something best demonstrated by the Cleveland Clinic’s study of 51,011 people): This was demonstrated to be the CASE... The CONSPERACY PROVED to be the TRUTH... MILLIONS at RISK!

DOGE just uncovered three findings so outrageous, even Elon Musk said he “had to read it several times” to believe it.

First, they found that 24,500 people listed as over 115 years old somehow claimed $59 million in unemployment benefits.

 

Next, 28,000 toddlers between the ages of 1 and 5 were paid out a staggering $254 million.

And the wildest part? 9,700 people with birthdates more than 15 years in the future managed to claim $69 million.

 


“In one case, someone with a birthday in 2154 claimed $41k,” the DOGE account reported.

Musk reacted on X, saying, “Your tax dollars were going to pay fraudulent unemployment claims for fake people born in the future! This is so crazy that I had to read it several times before it sank in.”

In a separate post, Musk wrote:

 


“The oldest living American is 114 years old, so it is safe to say that anyone 115 or older is collecting ‘unemployment’ due to being dead.” He added that there were no sanity checks at all—nothing to catch claims from people who were impossibly young or impossibly old from cashing in on unemployment benefits that should have never been approved in the first place.

 

The system was so broken, it allowed payments to go out to people who either hadn’t been born yet or had already passed away—without raising a single red flag.


 

 

Facebook Took Censorship Orders Straight from the CCP

A Meta whistleblower just blew the whistle on Mark Zuckerberg—accusing him of working “hand in glove” with the CCP to censor speech.

 

Sarah Wynn-Williams, who spent nearly seven years as Meta’s Director of Global Public Policy, dropped a series of bombshells during her Senate testimony.



First, she alleged that Meta built “custom-built censorship tools” for the CCP—and used them.

One of the most disturbing examples came in 2017, when Facebook removed a Chinese dissident living in the U.S. after pressure from Beijing.

 

And it wasn’t behind Zuckerberg’s back.

According to Wynn-Williams, he was all in. She said Zuckerberg was “personally invested” in building Meta’s ties with China. He even started learning Mandarin and “had weekly Mandarin sessions with employees.”


She didn’t hold back in her testimony, saying:

“The greatest trick Mark Zuckerberg ever pulled was wrapping the American flag around himself and calling himself a patriot and saying he didn’t offer services in China, while he spent the last decade building an $18 billion business there.”

 

Wynn-Williams also testified that Meta’s own engineers raised red flags about China’s potential access to American user data—but leadership shrugged it off.

“I saw Meta executives repeatedly undermine U.S. national security and betray American values,” she told lawmakers.

And it wasn’t just about censorship. She revealed Meta’s AI model, Llama, was used to help power DeepSeek, a Chinese AI company now competing with OpenAI.

 

Zuckerberg insists Meta doesn’t operate in China. But according to Wynn-Williams, Zuckerberg gave them a censorship machine and access to American data.

While he pretends to stand up for free speech, this testimony proves he can’t be trusted.

What’s on deck

 

Markets: The dollar and Treasurys are nosediving in the 'Sell America' trade.

 

Tech: Amazon will pay higher prices to some vendors to offset tariffs impact — but with a catch.

 

Business: President Trump’s tariff reprieve only means more uncertainty for CEOs.

 

But first, it’s not over. 

 

The tariff saga continues:

 

It might not have been enough. 

Goldman Sachs warned on Thursday morning that Trump’s 90-day tariff pause is unlikely to stop the stock market falling further. They were proven correct almost immediately. 

US indexes were back in sell-off mode, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average shedding 2,181 points at its intraday low before paring gains ahead of the close.

Goldman Sachs' equity drawdown risk model, which bases its probability of further market downside on a handful of indicators, recently spiked past 35% on both a three-month and a 12-month horizon. That's a strong signal that the S&P 500 is headed for further declines, the bank wrote in a note.

Analysts said several factors, including policy uncertainty and recent volatility, had raised the risk of more downside. Here’s what Goldman is watching. 

 

Wall Street still sees the tariffs as bad news. 

Investors are particularly concerned about the escalating trade war between the US and China — which did not get a reprieve from Trump. The US's tariff rate against Chinese imports is now 145%.

Early this morning, China hit back again, announcing it will raise tariffs on all US goods from 84% to 125% starting on April 12. 

That could further hurt companies like Tesla. Since Wednesday, the automaker has received three price target cuts from Wall Street firms, all predicting that higher costs due to tariffs will weigh on the business. 

 


Markets:

 

 Before the opening bell: US stock futures fall early Friday, as China raises its retaliatory tariffs on US imports to 125%.



1. Greenback blues. Investors are selling off US dollars and Treasurys, once considered safe assets, as the trade war ratchets up economic uncertainty. Ex-Treasury Secretary Larry Summers said on Wednesday that the US is being treated as if it were a “problematic emerging market.”

 

2. “The Big Short” investor Kyle Bass thinks the US might need a “brief recession” to reset. Amid President Trump’s tariff moves, the veteran investor told Bloomberg TV that the US needs to work on its trade relationships and narrow its fiscal deficit. 

 

3. Expect some familiar faces in the next wave of multistrategy funds. Citadel, Millennium, and Point72 dominate the industry, but that means there’s a huge talent pool for smaller rivals to draw from. Managers like Balyasny, Walleye, and Jain Global are hiring their alums.

1. Mira Murati stares down historic funding round with new AI startup. OpenAI’s former CTO doubled the fundraising target for Thinking Machines Lab to $2 billion, sources told BI. It could be the largest seed round in history — and remarkable for a startup less than a year old.

 

2. How’s Apple going to get out of its China jam? Trump’s tariff pause didn’t include China, which currently faces a 145% markup on products shipped from there. That’s a big problem for Apple, which depends on the country for iPhones. Luckily, CEO Tim Cook has been here before.

 

3. Amazon wants to save some vendors from tariff pain, but not all. The company is paying higher prices to vendors on a “case-by-case basis” to “share the tariff impact,” according to a document obtained by BI. However, it’s unclear how Amazon chooses which price increases to accept, several vendors told BI.

 

 

Business

 



1. It may be your last chance to order from Temu without a giant fee. Temu and Shein are known for their cheap offerings, but President Trump is about to start tacking on steep duty fees. BI’s Katie Notopoulos thinks now is the time to get your orders in.

 

2. Trump paused tariffs, but CEOs are still screwed. The 90-day delay gives some leaders room to breathe, but the big-picture uncertainty hasn’t subsided. The unpredictability of the Trump administration is paralyzing CEOs’ decision-making.

 

3. MrBeast wants to build the next Disney. The CEO of Beast Industries drew the comparison when pitching prospective investors. Like Disney, MrBeast’s company aims to diversify its IP.
