From His Word:

Eph 1:15-17 For this reason, ever since I heard about your trust in the Lord Yeshua and your love for all God's people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you. In my prayers I keep asking the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the glorious Father, to give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you will have full knowledge of him. 



In these verses, the apostle Paul mentions two important facets of Christianity—faith and prayer. It reminds me of the story of a Sunday School teacher who called his class to pray and enter into the Lord's presence.Excited about the invitation, little Samantha folded her hands, closed her eyes, and prayed. She could hardly contain herself as she waited to hear “Amen.” But her excitement turned to dismay when she opened her eyes, scanned the room, and saw nothing had changed. There was not a present in sight—no boxes or bags with colorful bows, nothing.



Disappointed, Samantha couldn’t wait to leave. Angry, she told her parents, “My teacher lied in class. I never want to go back. He said that we were going to enter God’s presence first thing, but when we finished praying, there wasn’t one present in the room!” Mom and Dad bit their lips to keep from laughing at their daughter’s misunderstanding of the blessing of entering God’s presence.


In many ways, we’re like that little girl. We often enter into God’s throne room of prayer with expectations of immediate answers, and when they don’t materialize, our faith takes a hit. Yet, we’ve missed the best gift—the sheer joy of being in His presence and experiencing His love.


Let us continue in faith, believing God’s promise to give us infinitely better things than our limited imaginations can conceive (Ephesians 3:20). May we never cease to give thanks as we bow our heads and hearts in His presence.Awaiting His Return,

  • The federal election campaign continues. Candidate nominations close today, and a list of confirmed candidates will be available on Elections Canada’s website on Wednesday. Election Day is Monday, April 28th, and polls will be open for 12 hours at assigned polling stations. Advance voting will take place from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm from April 18th to 21st. You can also vote early at any Elections Canada office until April 22nd using a special ballot. All of the information is available on the Elections Canada website.

 

  • Canadians planning to cross into the US are being urged to fully cooperate with border officials and be prepared for detailed questioning and electronic device searches. A new federal travel advisory warns that denial of entry could result in detention while awaiting deportation.


Canadian travel to the US has dropped significantly, with school and religious trips being cancelled due to political concerns. Starting April 11th, Canadians staying over 30 days must register or face legal consequences, especially at land border crossings. Ottawa is also reminding travellers to carry proof of their legal status in the US at all times.

 

  •   A recent study shows that over a third of Canadian cities now have psilocybin dispensaries, with many of them making health claims about the benefits of “magic mushrooms.” The study, which focused on dispensaries operating last May, found that most offer online sales and delivery of psilocybin-infused products, such as chocolates and candies.


These dispensaries often claim mental health benefits, such as improvements in depression and anxiety. The study also noted that these outlets fail to adequately warn of potential risks, such as triggering mania or psychosis. Psilocybin is illegal in Canada without a Health Canada exemption, yet the number of these dispensaries has surged, raising concerns about the need for greater regulation and public awareness of both benefits and harms.

TRUMP:

'Free Le Pen!' Trump, Musk and Vance voice support for French far-right leader

PARIS/WASHINGTON, April 4 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump, his Vice President JD Vance and billionaire backer Elon Musk have all voiced their support to French far-right leader Marine Le Pen after she was found guilty of embezzlement and barred from running in France's 2027 presidential election.

 

Trump, who often labelled his own legal woes as a leftist witch-hunt, drew parallels with Le Pen, the leader of the far-right National Rally (RN) party, who was widely seen as a plausible presidential winner.

She was convicted on Monday of misappropriating European Union funds by using the money to pay party officials. She received a four-year prison sentence - two of which are suspended and two to be served under home detention - and a 100,000-euro ($108,200) fine.

 

She also received an immediate five-year ban on running for office that will prevent her from the 2027 presidential election unless the ruling is overturned next year.

"The Witch Hunt against Marine Le Pen is another example of European Leftists using Lawfare to silence Free Speech, and censor their Political Opponent," Trump wrote on his Truth Social social media platform. "It is the same 'playbook' that was used against me."

 

Trump was indicted for covering up a hush money payment to a porn star, for attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election that he lost, and for retaining classified documents after his first term ended. He was convicted in the hush money case. He denied wrongdoing in all cases and has called them politically motivated.

Federal charges against him were dropped following his 2024 election win.

 

JD Vance, who has accused European nations of democratic abuses by seeking to block far-right parties from office, also weighed in to support Le Pen.

"The Europeans, they are absolutely 100% our friends. But that relationship ... it's going to get stressed and it's going to get tested if they keep on trying to throw opposition leaders in jail," he told Newsmax on Thursday.


And Elon Musk, who has lent his support to far-right figures across Europe, reposted Trump's message on his own X social media platform, writing: "Free Le Pen!"

 

The expressions of support for Le Pen by Washington's three most powerful figures underline a growing divergence between the United States and other nations - including many in Europe - over how judges adjudicate thorny constitutional questions or wrongdoing by politicians.

Le Pen has accused France's judiciary of sparking a democratic crisis by barring her from the 2027 election and called for a mass protest in Paris on Sunday, although there are signs her attacks on judges are playing badly with voters.

 

Having previously said she backed lifetime ineligibility for politicians convicted of misappropriation of public funds, she said in an interview with Le Parisien newspaper on Wednesday that the charges against her were different.


"Misappropriation of public funds has always been: I take public money and I put it in my pocket. That's inexcusable. That was not the case in the affair that concerns us," she said.

It remains to be seen if Trump and his allies' support will help or hinder Le Pen.

 

"I'm not sure it helps," Manuel Valls, France's minister for overseas territories, said on franceinfo. "It shows there's an international far-right movement that seeks to influence the debate. Hands off French justice, Mr. Trump!"

Tomorrow’s meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump is not routine. It is a prophetic flashpoint.

 

Netanyahu is not flying to Washington merely to discuss tariffs—he is going to intervene, to stand in the gap, and to shift the outcome of a dangerous alignment forming between the United States, Iran, and Russia.

 

He is going with the burden of Israel on his shoulders.

 

And the Church must go with him in the spirit.

 

Netanyahu’s Primary Concerns in This Meeting:

 

• To block a dangerous backchannel deal between the U.S. and Iran

 

• To ensure Israel is not excluded from global decisions impacting its survival

 

• To coordinate U.S. support for a military option if diplomacy fails

 

• To push back against Russian influence in the Middle East

 

• To secure reversal or relief from the 17% U.S. tariffs on Israeli goods

 

Targeted Prayer Points for the Church:

 

• Pray for divine wisdom, discernment, and supernatural clarity for Prime Minister Netanyahu.

 

• Pray for President Trump to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

Who are the Koenig’s?

William Koenig's Biography:

William began his business career in 1978 with Coldwell Banker Commercial (now CB Richard Ellis - CBRE) a major-international real estate company. He began his work in Phoenix transferring to Dallas in 1979. He was associated with two other commercial real estate companies in Dallas before starting his own brokerage and investment company in 1984.

 

In a career change in the summer of 1996, Bill began publishing "Koenig's Watch," a weekly summary of important Middle East news from Dallas. He moved to the Internet in November 1996 and became "Koenig International News" (http://watch.org).

 

The news service, which now includes "Koenig-World Watch Daily" with constantly updated stories from a large variety of news sources, today has readers and e-mail subscribers in all 50 states and 35 countries around the globe.

In early 1999, he produced the audiotape "Countdown 2000," discussing ten major events to watch moving into the new century.

 

In January 2001, he moved the news service to the Washington DC area and became a White House correspondent. He served at the White House from 2001-2021.
