Police tried to shut down Rolling Thunder rally in Ottawa:
With the announcement of the upcoming Rolling Thunder convoy in Ottawa, police quickly put together an action plan to prevent a repeat of what happened during the Freedom Convoy last February.
The Rolling Thunder event was to be a biker's rally to celebrate freedom. The organizer has said from the beginning that they were not responsible for any other attempt to hold a convoy in Ottawa as that was not their goal.
Nevertheless, late Friday, a small convoy ended up on Rideau Street, where all exit points had been blocked by police.
With the prosters' arrival, also on Rideau Street, things quickly escalated, and we relived events similar to last February 18 and 19's dismantling.
Here is an overview of what happened on Friday, April 29.

Canadian Forces veteran tells Rebel News why he attended Rolling Thunder in Ottawa I was in Ottawa with several Rebel News colleagues over the weekend to cover the Rolling Thunder rally.
The rally was organized by veterans to honour the men and women who fought for our country and defended the civil liberties that we have come to enjoy (and take for granted) as Canadians.
Much of the rally was entirely peaceful and filled with friendly flag-waving Canadians from all walks of life, but you wouldn’t have known it based on mainstream media reports and the massive police presence brought in by the city to keep watch.
Although the events over the weekend remained civil, on Friday, some 800 police officers had cordoned off the downtown area and made as many as 10 arrests and towed multiple vehicles as protesters tried to gather near Parliament Hill.

In the lead-up to last weekend, many of the residents and the mainstream media characterized this protest as a second coming of the “illegal occupation” of the Freedom Convoy against vaccine mandates we saw earlier this year.
Some of the residents even staged an “unwelcoming party” to express their frustration and concerns about what the rally organizers had planned.
But their fears ultimately proved to be completely unfounded.

Ford put this program on the back burner when our petition gained traction and our anti-Digital ID press conference raised opposition to it.

Dave Chappelle’s attacker won’t be charged with assault with deadly weapon, DA’s office says:
The district attorney’s office has referred the case to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office for consideration of misdemeanor filing
The man who attacked Dave Chappelle during a performance at the Hollywood Bowl Tuesday will not face felony charges despite carrying a replica pistol with a folding knife blade affixed to it.
Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón’s office declined Thursday to file felony charges against Isaiah Lee, 23, who was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after he tackled Chappelle.
"The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has referred the case to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office for misdemeanor filing consideration," Greg Risling, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, told Fox News Digital in a statement Thursday.
"After reviewing the evidence, prosecutors determined that while criminal conduct occurred, the evidence as presented did not constitute felony conduct. The District Attorney’s Office does not prosecute misdemeanor crimes within the City of Los Angeles."

An article published in the journal Annals of Pharmacology and Pharmaceuticals explains how MMS blocks spike proteins associated with SARS-CoV-2, which bind to human receptors such as angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), allowing the disease to develop. “Chlorine dioxide is a powerful disinfectant known for inactivating both viruses and bacteria,” says the annotation to the study. The stated purpose of the study was to find out whether chlorine dioxide directly inhibits the binding of the spike protein of the Chinese virus (S-protein) to ACE2 receptors. The team conducted in vitro experiments with British and South African “variants.” As a result, it was found that MMS did inactivate the binding of the spike proteins of the Covid-19 variant to the human ACE2 receptor protein, “suggesting that this strategy may be useful for blocking the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 virus variants.”
