CNN anchor exposes massive problem with Biden's threatening letter to Oil Companies: 'But that’s the problem':
CNN anchor John Berman confronted Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm Wednesday over a threatening letter President Joe Biden recently sent to oil companies.
What about the letter?
The letter — which Biden sent to executives at BP, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, Marathon Petroleum, Phillips 66, Shell, and Valero Energy — accused oil companies of profiteering at a "time of war" and demanded they do more to increase production of oil.
"At a time of war, refinery profit margins well above normal being passed directly onto American families are not acceptable," Biden said. "There is no question that Vladimir Putin is principally responsible for the intense financial pain the American people and their families are bearing. But amid a war that has raised gasoline prices more than $1.70 per gallon, historically high refinery profit margins are worsening that pain."
Biden also threatened to use "emergency authorities" if the companies do not comply with his demands. [The Blaze Media]

The agents were not whipping migrants, they were holding horse reigns to control their animals, a fact that was pointed out at the time of the incident, even by the photographer who took the original images.
The only actual contacts the agents made with the migrants was one of them pulled a migrant’s shirt to get hold of the man as he attempted to flee.
Oh, the horror. A border agent pulling the shirt of someone who has illegally entered the country and tried to run off.
Presumably the agents would have been treated better by the DHS had they simply just let the migrants escape?
After the agents were cleared, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked then White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki when Joe Biden intends to apologize for saying he would make the agents “pay” for what they did. At the time, border agents involved in the incident were suspended, while their colleagues were forced to undergo woke re-education training, all because they were trying to do their jobs properly.
The DHS head even implied that the agents were racists.

The agents still have not been put back on to dealing with migrants at the border, despite the huge ongoing crisis there.

Of course, no apology will ever come, indeed now Fox News reports that the agents will be subject to “administrative violations” with more details to be announced in the coming days.
The agents will reportedly have an “opportunity to respond.”
This serves as yet another example of the Biden administration’s shameful treatment of Americans putting themselves in the line of danger in an attempt to protect the country.

Freedom Convoy Protest was legal, judge says, and Ottawa is now being sued:
MONTREAL — The Canadian government trampled on fundamental human rights with its COVID restrictions, then overreached on dealing with the Freedom Convoy and must now answer to numerous lawsuits, including one by a former premier, says a well-respected constitutional lawyer.
Speaking on Montreal lawyer Viva Frei’s Youtube channel on March 25, Keith Wilson noted that the mischief charges against his client and convoy leader Tamara Lich, will not be successful. She counselled truckers to move in order to comply with police demands, not to block emergency lanes, he said.
Wilson is also a lawyer for former Newfoundland Premier Brian Peckford, who is suing the federal government for breaching the charter of rights by preventing unvaccinated people from leaving the country or getting on a bus, train or ship. “Obviously we are going to be able to establish Charter breaches,” Wilson said, adding that the government restricted mobility, security of the person and freedom of conscience.”
Wilson said he would not be able to live with himself if he hadn’t helped the Freedom Convoy when he got the call for help from the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms on Feb. 1.
“I have been so concerned about the direction of our country,” he said. “I have been so fundamentally concerned about the trampling of civil liberties and the loss of rights and the overreacting to COVID. I have been so concerned about the future for my children, deeply, deeply concerned, and was inspired by what the truckers were doing.”
Wilson also clarified that the Freedom Convoy protest was not illegal at any point, even though Prime Minister Trudeau called it illegal, and big media went along with it. [FarmersForum]
Russia Creates New G8:
Russia has created a new alliance that many are calling the “new G8.” Russia was expelled from the original Group of Eight in March 2014, following the annexation of Crimea. Russia stated that it did not care about the snub. “All the economic and financial questions are decided in G20, and G8 has the purpose of existence as the forum of dialogue between the leading Western countries and Russia,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated. There is no dialogue between the major Western superpowers in Russia at this point in time. Former President Obama’s ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul, went as far as saying that the West must ensure Russia has “no real allies.”
Due to backfiring sanctions, Russia certainly does have allies and has created a new G8 for good measure. Vyacheslav Volodin, head of the State Duma, stated the following:

'That’s not a right that you have, either in the Constitution or anywhere else,' the prime minister claimed.
LOS ANGELES (LifeSiteNews) — In a recent radio interview, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced to the public that Canadians do “not have a right” to use a gun for “self-protection.”
“We have a culture where the difference is guns can be used for hunting or for sport shooting in Canada, and there are lots of gun owners and they’re mostly law respecting and law abiding, but you can’t use a gun for self-protection in Canada,” Trudeau said on the Los Angeles-based “Pod Save the World Podcast” last week.
“That’s not a right that you have, either in the Constitution or anywhere else,” the prime minister added. “If you try and buy a gun and say it’s for self-protection, no, you don’t get that, you can get it for hunting, you can get it for sport shooting, you can take it to the range, no problem, as long as you go through our rigorous background checks.”
While Trudeau is correct in saying that gun ownership is not an enshrined right in Canada, and that one cannot purchase a gun for the purposes of self-protection, many immediately pushed back against the prime minister’s statement saying self-defense is not a right.
On the Andrew Lawton Show produced by True North Centre, criminal lawyer Sam Goldstein fact-checked Trudeau’s statements by explaining that despite his misleading statement, one does have the right to self-protection per the Criminal Code of Canada.
“[T]echnically speaking, there’s no Charter right to use a firearm, but in fact Section 34 of the Criminal Code — the right to a defense — would include the right to use a weapon against another person who is attacking you with, for example, a weapon,” Goldstein explained to Lawton.
Goldstein went on to clarify that depending on the circumstances, even if one’s attacker does not have a weapon, self-defense with a firearm can be permissible.
Trudeau’s recent statement comes on the heels of two major gun control efforts put forward by his administration in recent weeks.
In mid-May, Trudeau’s government announced they were bringing back a version of the previously-scrapped long-gun registry, and in late May announced a complete freeze on the sale and transfer of handguns within the country.

(LifeSiteNews) – On January 23, 2013, three Canadian Members of Parliament sent a letter to Royal Canadian Mounted Police commissioner Bob Paulson, asking for a criminal investigation into the deaths of 491 babies who were born alive after abortion attempts between 2000 and 2009 – but left to die by the attending medical staff.
In late 2012, pro-life blogger Pat Maloney had revealed these deaths using data from Stats Canada on her Run with Life blog, with additional information that according to the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), an additional 199 babies met the same fate between 2010 and 2011.
The “born-alive abortions” made headline news at the time, and Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper cemented his position as defender of the abortion industry’s worst abuses by responding to the news by insisting that abortion was legal and that he did not intend to reopen the debate.
Of course, these children died after Canadian law afforded them protection, but the leaders of all major parties seemed content to consider these children collateral damage. The story lasted several news cycles and, when all relevant authorities refused to do anything, petered out.
