Liberals Vs Conservatives:

Where Things Stand in Canada Polls 2025

At the time of dissolution of the Parliament, the Liberal Party, which has been in power since 2015, held 153 seats. The Conservatives were the official opposition with 120 seats, followed by the Bloc Quebecois at 33 seats, and the NDP at 24.


Ottawa:

With the 2025 Canada elections around the corner, Prime Minister Mark Carney's Liberal Party continues to maintain a lead in voting intentions over rival Conservatives led by Pierre Poilievre. The latest opinion polls show over 43 per cent of Canadians would likely vote for the Liberals if the election were to be held today. Around 38 per cent of Canadians still favour the Conservative Party, according to the CBC poll tracker. 

 

Among other opposition parties, 8.3 per cent of Canadians favour Jagmeet Singh's New Democratic Party (NDP), 5.4 per cent favour Yves-Francois Blanchet-led Bloc Quebecois-- which only runs candidates in the province of Quebec. The rest of the Canadians would likely vote for other small parties. 


Liberals Heading Towards Majority 

If elections were to be held today, the polls show Liberals are highly likely to win the most seats and form a majority government. The Conservatives, on the other hand, could form a sizeable opposition with roughly as many seats as they won in the last election, but the Bloc and NDP would likely see their seat share shrinking significantly.  

 

There are 343 federal ridings - also called constituencies or electoral districts -across Canada. Each has a corresponding seat in the lower chamber-- the House of Commons. All seats in the House of Commons are up for grabs during the election. For a parliamentary majority, any party need to win at least 172 seats.


Per current projection, the Liberals are likely to win 196 seats, while 122 seats could go in the Conservatives' favour. The share of the Bloc and NDP seems to be shrinking to 19 and 5 seats, respectively. 

At the time of dissolution of the Parliament, the Liberal Party, which has been in power since 2015, held 153 seats. The Conservatives were the official opposition with 120 seats, followed by the Bloc Quebecois at 33 seats, and the NDP at 24.

 

The set projection shows that there is an 86 per cent probability of the Liberals winning a majority in the election, while there is just one per cent chance of the Conservatives achieving the feat. 

There is also a 12 per cent possibility that Liberals will win the most seats but not a majority, but only one per cent odds are in the Conservatives' favour of winning most seats. 




How Support Shifted 

The public support has changed over time as the Conservatives held a significant lead in the polls from the summer of 2023 to the beginning of 2025. However, the support for Liberals skyrocketed after former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau resigned and his replacement, Mark Carney, took charge. The Mark Carney government's strong stand against US President Donald Trump and his tariffs also influenced voters in the Liberals' favour. 

 

The party made further progress during the first week of the campaign, largely at the expense of the NDP and the Bloc, but since then, the Liberal lead over the Conservatives has held relatively steady.





Open Letter to Minister Paul Calandra:

Fix Our Schools, Not Our Kids

Across Ontario, parents are fed up.

 

We’re tired of watching our children fall behind in reading and math while classroom time is consumed by ideological content that does not belong in public education. We’re exhausted by a system that confuses kids instead of educating them — and angry that we are forced to spend extra time and money on tutoring just to give our children the basic skills they should have learned in school.

Below is a letter CPAL has sent to Minister Paul Calandra, now Ontario’s Minister of Education. We are calling on him to do what the last few ministers failed to do: clean up the system and return our focus to real education.

Subject: Urgent Action Required: Return Ontario Schools to Basic Education

Dear Minister Calandra,

As parents and engaged members of the Ontario community, we write to you with a message that reflects the growing frustration and disillusionment shared by families across this province.


Our schools are broken — not because of a lack of funding or support from parents, but because the focus of our education system has been hijacked by ideologies that have no place in the classroom. What we want — and what our children desperately need — is not more confusing rhetoric about identity, mental health obsessions, or inappropriate sexual content. We want our kids to be able to read, write, and do math. Period.

 

Ontario’s declining literacy and math scores are an embarrassment and a crisis. Families are being forced to spend precious time and hard-earned money on private tutoring because public education is no longer doing its job. Teachers are overburdened with ideological mandates instead of being empowered to teach the core subjects. Children are graduating without basic skills. This is not just a policy failure — it is a betrayal of trust.

Enough is enough.

 

If we want to help students build self-esteem, let’s start by giving them the tools to succeed in life — not by telling them to explore identities they don’t understand, or pushing health and mental wellness agendas that should be addressed by families and professionals outside the school system. Schools are not therapy centres. Our children are being confused and distracted, when what they really need is structure, discipline, and rigorous academics.

 

Minister Calandra, you have been given the opportunity to clean up this system — and we urge you to take that responsibility seriously. Parents across Ontario are demanding a return to basic education. No more politics in the classroom. No more ideology. No more distractions. Get back to what matters: reading, writing, and arithmetic.


We are watching, we are organizing, and we are prepared to hold this government accountable if it fails to deliver.

Meet the second player in this story: a Community Notes contributor who goes by the name “Enterprising Desert Raven.”

This user has long carried a reputation as a shameless Big Pharma shill.

But what you’re about to learn goes far beyond that.

 

“Enterprising Desert Raven”—let’s call him EDR for short—isn’t just one account spamming notes on posts he doesn’t like. This individual—or possibly a small team—is a full-blown sock puppet army, aggressively posing as individual “fact checkers” across at least 16 separate accounts.

The liberal media finds itself utterly humiliated as desperate Democrats plummet into polling freefall. This week, as the ill-conceived attempts at gaslighting regarding the deportation of an MS-13 gang member blow up in the faces of the legacy media, the Democrats face an unprecedented decline in support. The reasons for this leftwing disaster are clear and must be examined in detail.

The latest Gallup data shows Democrats plummeting to an all-time historic low, with a mere 25 percent of voters expressing trust and confidence in their congressional leadership. This represents a staggering 41-point drop among their own party faithful, deepening their existential crisis. As the Democrats cling to the most radical elements of their base, they further alienate mainstream America, solidifying the so-called "80-20 doom loop." This loop indicates that as they default to their extreme wing, their mainstream support erodes even further, pushing them closer to political irrelevance.

 

In stark contrast, Trump’s approval ratings continue to climb, currently resting at the 52 percent mark according to accurate polling sources. Despite attempts by the legacy media to suggest that Trump voters are experiencing remorse, evidence to support such a narrative is non-existent. This dissonance points to a broader reality: many voters see Trump as a necessary shock therapy, perceiving his leadership as a way to rectify a broken D.C. Establishment.

 

Even notable figures like Ann Coulter are returning to the Trump fold, praising his accomplishments and critically assessing recent efforts by media outlets to paint a dire picture of Trump’s electorate. Their failed narratives, bolstered by vestiges of fake news, further diminish the standing of the Democrat party in the eyes of the public.

 

The legacy media may be doubling down on their outrageous claims, but the truth is increasingly visible. With their credibility waning, Democrats are entrenched in a cycle of denial and self-destruction, facing a reckoning as political tides shift towards conservative resurgence.

 

The woke world continues to crumble under scrutiny, and citizens are awakening to the realities behind the headlines. The political landscape remains charged with potential as conservatives embrace a renewed momentum, while Democrats wrestle with a mounting despair marked by increasing irrelevance.

According to an April 23 letter by Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, he gave a characteristic interview about the Bergoglian reign to editors of Italy’s “Fuori dal coro” (“Out of the Ordinary”) television program.

When asked for his evaluation of Pope Francis, the former papal nuncio to the U.S. suggested that every Catholic would judge the Francis papacy, “which was not really a papacy at all but only seemed to be such,” to have been “terrible.”

 

“The Church of Rome, after these twelve years of tyranny, is devastated by scandals, corruption, violations of human rights – I am thinking of the Agreement with the communist dictatorship of Beijing – and by a failed management on all fronts,” he added.

 

Viganò detailed that “a subversive lobby” aiming to carry out an “anti-Christian and Masonic plan of the Revolution” has taken over both governments and institutions. To carry out this “global coup” the lobby needed the collaboration of “corrupt government officials … politicians, doctors, judges and teachers.” According to Viganò, even after the Second Vatican Council, many in Rome “remained firmly anchored to certain non-negotiable principles” and thus still presented an obstacle to the globalists.

 

“Benedict XVI was clearly opposed to the globalist plan and would never have derogated from these principles by legitimizing the LGBTQ ideology, gender ideology, the pseudo-health follies of the WHO in matters of genetic modification and world depopulation, or the Islamization of Europe through ethnic substitution,” the archbishop wrote, adding that it was thus necessary to “eliminate Joseph Ratzinger” and usher in someone more agreeable to the scheme.

 

In Viganò’s opinion, this was done through a “coup” brought about by both the Saint Gallen Mafia and the American “Deep State,” which “pushed Benedict XVI to resign and managed to appoint Jorge Mario Bergoglio to the highest position in the Church.”

 

He believes that, along with this “usurpation,” a “globalist lobby” imposed “government leaders under order of the Davos Forum”: naming such figures as Emmanuel Macron in France; Boris Johnson and Sir Keith Starmer in the United Kingdom; Justin Trudeau in Canada; the Clintons, Barack Obama; and Joe Biden in the U.S.; and Ursula von der Leyen in the European Union, among others.

 

According to his letter, the archbishop was asked by his Italian interviewers to explain why, on the day Francis died, Viganò described statements Francis made to atheist journalist Eugenio Scalfari as“heretical ravings.”

Viganò responded by recalling Francis’ alleged denial of hell:

According to Scalfari, Bergoglio confided to him that he did not believe in hell, and that he was convinced that good souls are saved by ‘merging’ with God, while damned souls are destroyed, dissolved into nothingness. This contradicts both Sacred Scripture and the Catholic Magisterium, which teach that every soul, at the moment of physical death, faces the Particular Judgment and is rewarded with either eternal bliss (possibly passing through Purgatory) or punished with eternal damnation, depending on how it behaved in life, and on its state of friendship or enmity with God at the moment of passing away. This is why I spoke of heretical ravings: they are added to a very long list of nonsense and heresies that we have all had to endure in recent years.

 

The archbishop was apparently also asked about his reference to Francis’ “heirs,” whom he had called “subversives.” This, too, he answered in characteristic fashion:

Bergoglio surrounded himself with corrupt and blackmailable characters, whom he used casually in order to obtain what he intended. He mocked, denigrated, and offended honest cardinals and bishops. He protected and covered up investigations into prelates accused of serious crimes. He promoted the entire chain of American prelates, corrupt and ultra-progressive, all connected to the former Cardinal McCarrick, who today occupy the main American dioceses and key positions in the Vatican.

 

He lifted the excommunication of his Jesuit brother Marco Rupnik, whose shameful affairs had scandalized even the most moderate. He persecuted all his opponents, including me, inflicting excommunication on me, in violation of law and justice. All of these people are still in their places, they continue to demolish the Church and are preparing, with the next Conclave, to complete the task assigned to them: to transform the Church of Christ into an ecumenical and syncretistic organization of Masonic origin that lends its support to the New World Order.

 

Asked to explain why he believes Francis was an anti-pope, Archbishop Viganò stated that he believes Cardinal Bergoglio had taken the office of pope without intending to fulfill its proper functions. The archbishop likened this alleged decision to someone who fraudulently takes marriage vows.

 

“I believe that Bergoglio’s acceptance of the Papacy was flawed because he considered the Papacy something other than what it is; like the spouse who marries in church excluding the specific purposes of Marriage, therefore nullifying the marriage precisely due to his defect of consent,” he stated.

 

Viganò also declared that Francis had won his election through “fraud” and had abused “the authority of the Roman Pontiff to do the exact opposite of what Jesus Christ gave a mandate to Saint Peter and his Successors to do: to confirm the faithful in the Catholic Faith, to shepherd and govern the Lord’s Flock, and to preach the Gospel to all people.”

 

He continued:

All of Bergoglio’s governing and teaching actions – from his first appearance at the Vatican Loggia introducing himself with that disturbing ‘Buona sera’ – have unfolded in a direction diametrically opposed to the Petrine mandate: he has adulterated the Depositum Fidei, he has created confusion and led the faithful into error, he has dispersed the Flock, he has declared that the evangelization of peoples is “solemn nonsense,” condemning it as proselytism; and he has systematically abused the power of the Holy Keys to loosen what cannot be loosened and bind what cannot be bound.

Archbishop Viganò also delineated the limits of the papacy, stating that a pope is not the “master of the Church” in the sense that he could depart from Christ’s teaching :

 

The Pope is not the master of the Church, but rather the Vicar of Christ: he must exercise his authority within the boundaries established by Jesus Christ and in accordance with the purposes desired by God: first of all, the salvation of souls through the preaching of the Gospel to all creatures, and by means of the Sacraments.

 

A Pope cannot therefore consider himself authorized to ‘reinvent’ the Papacy, to ‘reread it in a synodal key,’ to ‘modernize it,’ to dismember it at will, to change the Faith or morals. If he thinks that the Papacy allows him to modify the institution he presides over, by that very fact he finds himself in that situation of defect of consent (vitium consensus) such as to nullify his apparent elevation to the Petrine Ministry, because what he has accepted is not the Catholic Papacy as it has always been understood from Saint Peter onwards, but rather a personal idea of ‘papacy.’Seeing Francis as having attempted to do all these things, Viganò has concluded that Francis was in fact a usurper:

 

For this reason, I am convinced that the subversive role played by Bergoglio – even considered in the broader international context of the globalist coup – makes him a usurper, an anti-pope, a non-pope precisely, because he was perfectly aware of wanting to tamper with the Papacy by transforming it into something else and giving it purposes that are not those of the Papacy: from the cult of the idol of Pachamama to communion for divorcees and the blessing of homosexual couples, from immigration to the promotion of vaccines, from climate propaganda to gender transition.

 

Asked for his predictions for the future of the post-Bergoglian Church, Viganò said that we have a “situation of widespread illegitimacy.”

“Of the 136 Cardinal electors, 108 were ‘created’ by him; which means that whatever Pope is elected in the upcoming Conclave – even if he were a new Saint Pius X – his authority will be compromised by having been elected by false cardinals, created by a false Pope,” he wrote.

 

“For this reason, some time ago, I asked my brothers in the Episcopate to clarify these aspects before they proceed with the election of a new Pope.”

Continuing, the archbishop described the situation as “disastrous” and without a human solution. However, he added that the Church is destined to face her own Passion, “following the example of the Lord.”

 

“It will be precisely from this passion […] that the Church will be reborn, regenerated and purified.”

 

Viganò ended with a reminder of Easter joy, saying “During these days in which we celebrate Easter, every Catholic finds in Christ’s triumph over death and sin the reasons for their own faithfulness to the Gospel. Our Lord told us, shortly before He faced His Passion: Do not be afraid: I have overcome the world.”

 

As interesting and “out of the ordinary” as Viganò’s thoughts are, the archbishop reported that they were not, in the end, broadcast by the Fuori dal coro television program.
