CNN religion commentator says the unvaccinated should not be attending Christmas services:

CNN religion commentator Fr. Edward Beck, a Roman Catholic Priest, said in an appearance on "New Day" Friday that unvaccinated Christians should not attend Christmas services.

Most Christian denominations, including the Catholic church, consider Christmas to be among the holiest days of the year, and Christmas Eve services are regularly among the most attended of the year.

Beck, however, claimed that Jesus would not want Christians who are not vaccinated to participate in the holiday that was instituted to celebrate his birth.

In the segment, host Jim Sciutto began the discussion by asking Beck how churches can get people to come back to services in light of the fact that more and more people are withdrawing into their homes.

Unprompted, Beck turned the occasion into an opportunity to lecture the audience with a non-responsive answer that instead focused on the importance of keeping certain people out of worship services.

"I think that what we're trying to say to people is you have a social responsibility if you do gather... you know, Christian churches, many are gathering this evening. And some are still not requiring vaccination, which I disagree with. I think that part of caring for one another, you know, the dictum of Jesus, who we celebrate his birth, is, 'Love one another.' Show compassion. Show mercy to each other. So, I think the message is that if we want to act like Jesus in these kind of times, we take care of each other.”

Anne McLachlan sent this to me…

It is just too good to keep to myself:

There was a man who worked for the Post Office whose job was to process all the mail that had illegible addresses.

One day, a letter came addressed in a shaky handwriting to God with no actual address.

He thought he should open it to see what it was about.

The letter read:

Dear God,

I am an 83 year old widow, living on a very small pension.

Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had $100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next pension payment.

Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of my friends over for dinner.

Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with, have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope...

Can you please help me?

Sincerely, Edna

The postal worker was touched.

He showed the letter to all the other workers. Each one dug into his or her wallet and came up with a few dollars.

By the time he made the rounds, he had collected $96, which they put into an envelope and sent to the woman.

The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of Edna and the dinner she would be able to share with her friends.

Christmas came and went.

A few days later, another letter came from the same old lady to God.

All the workers gathered around while the letter was opened.

It read:

Dear God,

How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me?

Because of your gift of love, I was able to fix a glorious dinner for my friends.

We had a very nice day and I told my friends of your wonderful gift.

By the way, there was $4 missing.

I think it might have been those bast-rds at the post office.

Sincerely, Edna

#2. COVID-19

Thousands of Xmas flights cancelled:

Not all airlines said COVID-19 was disrupting their travel schedules. American Airlines said it had "nothing to report," while Southwest Airlines said "things are running smoothly."

A spokesperson for Canada's WestJet said the airline was not seeing similar issues to its U.S. counterparts.

"The large majority of our posted cancellations within the last 24 hours are related to the major snow event that significantly impacted our operations last night and into this morning out of our primary hub in Calgary," Madison Kruger said in an email to CBC News.

Similarly, Air Canada said in an email to CBC News that "we have the crews to operate our schedule, so we have not been impacted as some other carriers have been."

God bless your Christmas!

The apostle Paul wrote this simple sentence in 2 Corinthians 9:15:

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”

Indescribable is the perfect word for the enormity, the significance, and the impact of God’s gift to us. For two millennia, men and women have tried to describe such a precious gift—this Baby in a manger who grew to be a Savior on a cross. And for millennia to come, throughout the ages of eternity, we will still continue to attempt to describe just how amazing this gift is.

As we celebrate Christmas, let’s take time to praise and worship the ultimate Gift-giver, who has given us the ultimate Gift.

A warm and joyful Christmas greeting from our family to yours.

God bless you, and Merry Christmas!

LONDINIUM:

Londinium is not the name of some strange, rare element, but rather is the name given to the settlement on the Thames River by the Romans. Like all major cities of old, Londinium used the river for commerce and communication. But this is not a history lesson, but a lesson about current events.

In our American minds New York City is the financial hub of the world, and that may be correct. Consider the words of the Lord in Zephaniah 2:15, “This [is] the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I [am], and [there is] none beside me.” The arrogance of NYC is mirrored in Isaiah 47:10 which is about Mystery Babylon. Again, the Lord says, “and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.”

And yet the New York–Washington axis seems to follow the lead of London. After all, England had socialized medicine long before we had it here in the United States. England led the United States in becoming a crime-ridden welfare state. The complaint that finding good workers was difficult because so many would rather receive government assistance rather than be employed was first heard in England. England even has the I.R.S. (Inland Revenue Service).

We view London, England as a great city covering many square miles and having a population of millions of people. In reality the City of London has an area of slightly over one square mile and is occupied not so much by people as by financial institutions. The Bank of England, Lloyd’s of London and many major institutions have their offices in the City of London. As such, the “City” is perhaps synonymous with Commercial Babylon.

The Templar Church discussed earlier is found in London. Perhaps it represents Spiritual Babylon. Also located within the City of London is the London Guildhall. Construction on the Guildhall was begun in 1411. Inside the Guildhall are the traditional protectors of the City of London; Gog and Magog in the costume of Roman soldiers! Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 name Gog and Magog as the invaders of Israel at some future date. Gog and Magog easily represent Political Babylon.

Commercial, Political and Spiritual Babylon all located in the City of London. What a web of Satanic intrigue! I do not know what it all means, but I do know that the Lord is in complete control. Praise His name, always! [Ron Taylor]
